Elisa Valentin Pecini once again dominated the stage of Olympia and won in the 2023 World Klash Pro Biking division. She was all in preparation to set the stage on fire in the 2024 Arnold Classic UK contest, which is scheduled for March 15th to Match 17th, 2024 in Birmingham. However, things didn’t work out as planned.

She had been feeling abdominal pain for quite some time and had several tests done. There were no visible indications, but she always felt it was strange. However, she started feeling a tedious pain a few hours ago. She thought it would pass, but it only kept getting worse. She finally got admitted to the hospital and as it turns out, she needed surgery.

Elisa Pecini shared photos of herself on the hospital bed. She stated that after they took her to the hospital and performed imaging tests on her, it turned out to be an appendix and she was bound for surgery. The pictures were taken right after surgery, and she was now only focusing on the process of recovery.

She wrote, “I even tried to put a smile on the photo, but honestly it’s not easy and I don’t know how to pretend, only I know how happy I was with the work I was doing, with the development I would show on Arnold’s stage, weeks of work…” However, she did not let this setback take a huge toll on her, and with all her strength gathered the courage and backed out of the Arnold Classic 2024.

She did so because at this point, focusing on her health had to be her priority so that in the future she would not have any pain while prepping for other events. She even posted a few stories from the hospital bed after surgery, thanking her followers for the messages of speedy recovery. Well, this is not the first time that the Brazilian athlete has faced a physical setback in life!

Life threw Anorexia and Bulimia for Elisa Pecini to deal with

Elisa Pecini has always been vocal about anorexia and bulimia. She was diagnosed with it in her teens and fought through the condition from the age of 13 to 15. Just like her present surgery, she delayed getting her treatment because she never really liked going to the hospital. This made her refrain from taking the first round of treatment while she dealt with the disease for a year.

She had dropped down to as low as 81 lbs. She said, “I did not see how much it made me ill, and I wanted to lose weight once more, so I went against all the instructions of the doctors who helped me.” She had to get hospitalized at the age of 15 and needed immediate care. And that was when she decided to turn things around for herself and lead a life that was not harmful.

It was after her recovery that she started taking her health very seriously and pursued her interest in modeling. And well, the rest, as you know it, is history.
