8x Mr. Olympia Ronnie Coleman’s self-proclaimed son tried one of the toughest routines of late Bodybuilder Rich Piana’s 8-hour Arm workout. West is a YouTuber and a Bodybuilder. He often tries different workout regimes and shares them on social media.

For this challenge, Jesse James West also invited his friend, Brandon, and they both did the 8-hour arm workout that included 16 different exercises. The 23-year-old uploaded it to his YouTube channel.

Before they began the challenge both measured their arm sizes to see if the workout was beneficial or not. The young fitness influencer started with a statement he said we’re going to try Rich Piana’s arm exercise. They started the exercise with four sets of Skull Crusher with 10 reps, and Barbell curls with 4 sets and 10 reps. He explained in the video what they were going to do in the session. It is the first time he tried this.

In the middle of the routine, Brandon said, “I can barely feel my arms my joints are starting to hurt which is not a good sign”. After doing some of the exercises from the routine West got exhausted with the intensity of the routine he said “Don’t know what just happened? I had the most energy in my life and now I feel dead yo”.

Nonetheless, they managed to complete the challenge and also showed some visible results. Although, West advised not to attempt this routine straight 8 hours he said,

“I realized something although training arms for eight hours is something I would never recommend”. He was excited to start the challenge in the beginning he always looked up to Rich as a role model he mentioned that he met him once, and really impressed with his giant muscles. West wishes to have the muscles like him.

Rich Piana left a legacy behind!

West also used his motivational quotes in the video that exemplify how passionate Rich Piana was when he worked. In Rich’s words “The more you put into anything in life the more you’re gonna get out the longer you train the more you eat the more you sleep the better results you’re gonna get”. Then he added, “I believe that you should bust your ass and work on getting to what you see as the best possible physique you can achieve”. His word of wisdom will always motivate the community.

It was very tragic to the world of bodybuilding that they lost an icon. An autopsy revealed that Piana passed away from a “significant heart disease“. He died in August 2017 at the age of 46. Piana’s untimely demise is truly unfortunate, but his legacy continues to inspire many.
