He talked about how it helps a person stay fit, both mentally and physically.

Dorian Yates said, “When you go to the gym, you release chemicals in your brain that make you feel better. So, I think it’s an essential part of overall health. Physical and mental. That’s why I’m a big advocate of any exercise that works for you and you like it. Of Course, I’m a bodybuilder, that’s my background, but I think it’s important to get out there and do some kind of exercise.” As sedentary lifestyles consume the world, Yates continues to use the world of the internet to impart his wisdom to all who are looking to make strides in their fitness journeys.
The legendary bodybuilder, also known as The Shadow, despite being barred from the sport of bodybuilding because of health issues, continues to follow the rule of minimal exercise even in his own life, to stay at peace.

Dorian Yates prevented from training like a bodybuilder
In the MD’s Global Music Radio show in 2019, where Dorian Yates was invited as a guest speaker, he spoke about his journey in the professional realms of bodybuilding. During the conversation, he revealed how going through several fatal injuries forced him to quit his one true passion.
Yates said, “Probably five years ago, I was still doing what I could, as far as bodybuilding training, but it was limited.” However, with time, he could barely do anything at all. He added, “I was limited because I’ve got a bicep and tricep injury on my left side, which everybody knows about from my career I guess.” But, he knew he had to do something to stay fit, and that was when he resorted to yoga to keep himself at peace.
