One of the biggest challenges for bodybuilders in later life is maintaining a healthy weight. In a recent video on his YouTube channel, four-time Mr. Olympia Jay Cutler discussed the importance of maintaining a healthy weight in later life. According to the legendary bodybuilder, as people age, their metabolism slows down, which means they burn fewer calories.

He emphasized that this can make it difficult to keep the weight off, especially if they are still following the same training and diet routines they used to when they were younger. “As you get older, we have to be more conscious about how much we drag around it’s not good on the heart and everything else,” he said in the video. He pointed out that many veteran bodybuilders still carry a lot of excess weight, which can be harmful to their health. He stressed that it is critical to be mindful of your weight as you age and to make adjustments to your training and diet accordingly.
