However, Brian Sutterer, the sports injury specialist, dismissed his claims, stating that it was merely a clickbait situation. According to the expert, tibs raises are already a hot topic in the fitness world and hitting the right “buzzwords” was just a way to grab the audience’s attention. The MD sports injury specialist recently took to his official YouTube channel and shared a video. In the video, talking about the logicless claim behind the tibialis raises and revealed that tibs raises are being given more credit than they deserve. He also revealed that how some fitness influencers create issues that don’t even exist in the first place.
Talking about Huberman’s take on tibs raises, the specialist added, “But there is no real, even, logic behind that.” Explaining himself, he also stated that when performed traditionally, one can get just a little bit of passive stretch on their gastro. He even referred to some published literature that stated that it stretches the muscle on the pecs, which can stimulate some hypertrophy.

As the video began, Brian Shutterer stated that Andrew Huberman, undoubtedly, has done a lot of good content to help people learn. Millions have become better with wellness and self-care because of him. However, later, he also subtly took a dig at the neurosurgeon and said, “What often happens with a lot of these types of personalities who venture into the social media space, become very famous and well-known because of their initial area of expertise: They run out of things within their own area of expertise to talk about. So, over time, you start to see them stray into other areas of science or medicine based on what’s popular.”
