The 37-year-old athlete took to his Instagram and shared the news of a “very disturbing” video that involved a “special needs?man?“getting filmed by a gym bully and being made fun of on social media. Swoll shared a screenshot of a note he?d written to explain the scenario and re-posted it for his 2.6 million fans to know. Instead of sharing the video for the world to see, Swoll mindfully sent it to Planet Fitness, probably where the incident took place.?

“It?s very sad what people will do to others just for attention on social media,” the caption stated, expressing his feelings on the matter. Similarly, bodybuilding legends like Flex Wheeler and Phil Heath joined in with the community to denounce such actions. The former IFBB icon urged Swoll to name the person in question and publicly shame them.

“Name and shame Joey. Planet Fitness will be blown up by everyone on here. I don?t have any Grace for the bullying of special needs,” Wheeler stated. This matter touches him on a rather personal note because of his own struggle with health. Besides that, Heath criticized him by saying, “No mercy for these bullies. This is horrible.” Even 65-year-old fitness influencer Marlene Flowers, popularly known as Granny Guns, noted, “That is NOT OK.” The community also weighed in on the matter with their insights.
