When it comes to having a shredded body or even for that matter, losing a certain amount of weight, per many experts, it is a myth that one must be on a strict diet and fast in order to get the proper results. But what actually happens is, nutrients in the food consumed convert into energy and help you work harder, enabling you to meet up your goal sooner. Fitness model and celebrity trainer Lesley Maxwell somewhat conveys a similar message.

She is a fitness coach who not only trains athletes but also bursts myths related to bodybuilding with the help of her social media platform. The 65 YO shredded bodybuilder recently revealed what gives her the energy to work out for prolonged hours in the gym. For her, it is never a good idea to fast and make an attempt to workout.

Lesley Maxwell recently took to her Instagram and shared a picture of herself post-workout. She enlightened the audience about her mantra to gain more energy. Maxwell believes a workout is only effective if you take a good amount of food with the proper calorie intake, both before and after the workout. She writes in the caption, “Now it’s my turn to train after my PT sessions. I find training in the evening fine as long as I eat prior to training. Actually, it’s like that all day for me as I eat every couple of hours.”

Furthermore, substantiating why food helps her with her workouts, she says, “This maintains my blood sugar levels plus gives me energy. Oh and yes! I shall have another meal afterward. Definitely no fasting for me.” Lesley Maxwell takes scrumptious food that suffices her requirement of protein and carbs and that is what has been of tremendous help to her in her journey.

Lesley also states that she makes sure that there is an inclusion of fats in her diet in order to maintain the equilibrium of the nutrient group consumed. When asked by one of her followers in the comments section about her diet structure, she says that she makes sure there is the right amount of fat, including saturated fat, with her level of carbs and protein consumption.

Maxwell’s mantra of food consumption

Lesley Maxwell does not believe in the concept of striving or having a crash diet. The only way to get good results that will last long according to her, is to eat clean and eat frequently. In her post, replying to one of the comments, she says, “I don’t really count calories as it would do my head in. Lol. However I always eat clean with enough protein and fats every two hours or so😊”
