Sports teams across the world play valiantly to win a match. But the fear-induced scenes from the Monday Night Football game on January 2 this year compelled the competing teams to pray for Damar Hamlin. The Buffalo Bills’ safety collapsed on the field after a tackle and needed 9 minutes of CPR by the training staff before shifting to a local hospital under critical conditions.
Six months later, the 25-year-old had come a long way in his recovery. An emotional Hamlin presented the prestigious Pat Tillman Award at the 2023 ESPYS on Wednesday. The overwhelming scenes from the event did not go unnoticed by Arnold Schwarzenegger’s ex-wife, Maria Shriver, as she posted a heartwarming message on her Instagram.
