American bodybuilder and actor, Mike O’Hearn has recently been indulging with iconic veterans of the sport. His interviews with legend, Frank Zane, pondering upon bodybuilding specifics, have been a success among fans. Similarly, in a recent video on Instagram, the athlete has seen training with the veteran athlete nearing his 80s, Robby Robinson. The former bodybuilder appears absolutely shredded even today, and O’Hearn’s post is evidence of this fact. 

The legend was seen performing bicep curls with a dumbbell as O’Hearn stood behind him, motivating him to push further. Moreover, on 4th May 2023, Generation Iron Network released a brand new poster of the icon’s very own documentary bio-pic that spotlights Robinson’s life and journey as a shredded former athlete even at 76.

The popular 54-year-old trainer walked to an already pumping Robinson and was determined to push him till his last rep. On the other hand, the former icon worked out sporting a chic look, with a purple hat and black shades. The definition and well-maintained conditioning of his muscles at this age are worth appreciating. Therefore, it’s not shocking that the champ is getting featured in a full-length documentary, Robby Robinson’s Blueprint, is set to release this year itself.

Appreciating the legend’s efforts, O’Hearn wrote in the caption of his post, “NEVER STOP 🐺⚔️🐺@robbyrobinsonofficial 76 years old … that’s Goals !! The Legend The Black Prince 🏆” Whereas in the video, the former Mr. Universe can be heard saying, “Show em’ what that is…get that.” The snippet concluded with Robinson flexing his muscles in a close-up followed by O’Hearn asserting, “Now you understand why we do this.” Interestingly, Robinson was the first bodybuilder from the African-American community to get featured on magazine covers, yet his name is often missed out in discussions of the Golden Era bodybuilding greats.

Speaking of the former’s feature film, the production began last year itself that focuses on his life-long “blueprint” that has kept him chiseled even at 76, and after several health concerns. During the Mr. Olympia weekend, fans were able to grab a first-look teaser of the film and on May 5th, a new teaser poster surfaced, thus, stirring up the buzz of his film. In a similar instance recently, the duo once again met up to kill an arm workout session, but this time, with wisdom for aspirants.

As per an interview on YouTube, the iconic gym buddies engaged in an intense workout, followed by a little advising session by the legend himself. The Black Prince took center stage and enlightened the upcoming bodybuilders with a piece of his wisdom. “You gotta put in the work. If you’re not willing to put in the work… seriously, time to go home. Have a pizza. Sorry guys. No disrespect. It’s a lot of hard work,” Robinson asserted.

Promptly agreeing to his revelation, O’Hearn also joined in to support his gym buddy’s insinuation. He said, “Got to love that. If that doesn’t get you psyched, or that upsets you how he talks… that makes no sense. He’s an artist.” The veteran’s words are music to O’Hearn’s ears, and this is how he encouraged others to perceive them.

Of all the bodybuilding greats, Robinson has particularly been out of the spotlight. This was because after he retired from his 27-year career, he entirely steered away from media appearances. However, it’s time that Robinson be cherished by the community once again, and assuringly, the biopic shall do all the work.
