The bodybuilding champion first won Mr. Olympia in 2020 under the Men’s 212 category and repeated this achievement in 2022. Now, he posted his transformation journey on his Instagram channel with an inspiring message.

The bodybuilding journey of The Giant Killer was filled with ups and downs. But never did Clarida decide to give up on his dreams. His passion for the sport has given him two Mr. Olympia titles. Having started his athletic career early, Clarida took to wrestling before discovering bodybuilding.

He started lifting weights to build muscle for his wrestling career but soon left it for a bodybuilding career. The champion has come a long way since debuting on the stage of bodybuilding. Sharing the collage of 2014 physique with 154 lbs and 2022 physique with 178 lbs.

His body transformation is reflected in the post. He captioned it, “Despite all the naysayers, I knew the goal, I knew what needed to be done and most importantly, I believed in myself and I never had a PLAN B.

The Giant Killer’s anecdote from the past

The bodybuilder faced bullying as a child and overcame difficulties to become a champion. The 5’2″ tall bodybuilder changed his naysayers’ perspective with his success in bodybuilding competitions.

He once narrated an incident and said, “In 2012, when I won the Nationals with the ban away and I won my pro card, someone came up to me and told me, ‘Congratulations! Your career is over.’” However, he didn’t give in to negativity and worked his way to the top.

Shaun Clarida is the new father in town and is enjoying his time with his little one. Despite criticism, the reigning Mr. Olympia champion in the Men’s 212 category’s determination and positivity enabled him to achieve his goals.
