The bodybuilder revealed in “The Mindset & Motivation Secrets Of 4X Mr. Olympia Modern Wisdom 652″ that he was going through tough times while preparing for Mr. Olympia. He was also juggling some family issues.

One day, his partner found him on the bathroom floor, crying his heart out. Looking at the unnerving condition of the champion, she had encouraging words to boost his morale. CBum’s partner said, “…. literally you don’t think Michael Jordan ever broke down and felt like he couldn’t handle the stress that was on him, like building the NBA into what it was, not even just his team.”

The Canadian Bodybuilder quickly replied, “He didn’t talk about it though,” to which his partner responded maturely. She pointed out that most men do not know how to express their emotions. Moreover, this is especially true for athletes who have taken the world by storm. Fans only witness the titles they win but they rarely ponder the hardships and sacrifices the superstars make.

When CBum heard his partner refer to Michael Jordan’s example to make her point, he understood the intricacies involved in having a champion mentality. Bumstead understood that he was not alone in this boat. He added, “This is a huge pressure; a lot is going on, and I’m stressed. What’s wrong with that? I’m not gonna let it control me, but I’m allowed to feel this moment right now.”
