For IFBB champion?Arnold Schwarzenegger, in many of the important things in his life, how he looks is probably up there at the top of his priority list. Winning shows since the start of his?bodybuilding?career, the star athlete could have never imagined a day when his years of hard work would fade away in time. Now, at 75, Arnie can hardly glance at himself in the mirror. Yet he claims he has learned to live with it and accept the harsh truth of reality and life.
In an interview with the?Hollywood Reporter,?the icon once again shed light on his feelings and thoughts on his declining age and how it is affecting his award-winning physique.

As per the interview, the 75-year-old legend always viewed himself as “the best-built man”?reigning at the top of the craft he chose to master. However, years after retirement from the sport, a successful Hollywood career, and politics, the star is now disheartened by his reflection in the mirror.
“My whole life I look at the mirror and see the best-built man, and all of a sudden I see a bunch of cr*p. It?s terrible!”?he admitted. Arnie described a few of his everyday struggles and shared that he feels bothered by the wrinkles under his eyes. Despite years of training, even his pectoral muscles have developed wrinkles.
“You see the f******g poodle!… Budle,”?he corrects himself?in the chat with the?Hollywood Reporter.?The former bodybuilder refers to his stomach bulging out as?“budle,”?an Austrian term for the same. Furthermore, Arnie expressed, “Where the f*** did that come from? It?s not pleasurable. But you cope with it.”?However, the former pro had a?different stance on aging gracefully.

Slowly yet steadily gliding into senescence, Schwarzenegger is still not ready to give up his way of life. Having worked for his physique throughout his life, the star plans on doing the same even at 75. Thus, aging gracefully has a whole new definition for him. Even though he may not be able to deadlift his record of 700 lbs anymore, that doesn?t discourage him from hitting the gym daily.

“As for aging gracefully if you mean slowing down and hitting the golf course instead of the gym, it?s not my style,”?he highlighted in one of the editions of his newsletter. Arnie claimed he wanted to hold on to everything he?d worked for and let go of?“what you can?t.”
