Hunter Labrada, the son of Hall of Famer Lee Labrada, experienced a setback when he was placed in 7th place in 2022 Mr. Olympia. However, he didn’t allow the grief of failure to hang around for long. He started his prep for the upcoming two shows. Now in a heartwarming Instagram post, the bodybuilder opens up about his priorities this year.
The younger Labrada decided to concentrate on mental health and family this year. He emphasizes being in the present, moving forward to see better results career-wise.
Hunter Labrada’s revamped resolutions for this year

The video posted by Hunter Labrada on his Instagram account is all about revamping oneself for better output. The main aim of the bodybuilder this year is to be better at things outside of bodybuilding and make himself proud. He started the video by saying, “First and foremost this year is about making myself proud.“
He agrees that he had lost sight or purpose of why he was competing, which resulted in his failure the previous year. But now he views things more clearly. He opened up, “My relationships suffered, my mental health suffered, ” and credits it to his constant focus on bodybuilding.

So he states that one of his biggest goals for the year is to be present mentally. He feels that once he concentrates on things outside of bodybuilding, he will be able to do the sport well. “One of my biggest goals this year outside the competitive placings is to do a good job of being present and self-aware,” he emphasized in the clip.
The bodybuilder is gearing up for this year’s competitions
He is training to compete in the shows at Tampa and Texas and is confident of winning both events. “I m going to do everything in my power to win the shows“, he affirmed in the clip. He has already tweaked his diet and training regime to build his best physique.

Labrada also revealed his vision for the upcoming events in terms of physique. The bodybuilder is focussing on trimming the waistline while not running behind the size and is working on best vacuum poses and having six meals a day to ace a brawny figure.
