Life has posed innumerable obstacles to weight loss warrior Lexi Reed, but the 33-year-old never lost the hope of living her best life. Her willpower and positivity helped her body heal from one of the rarest fatal diseases. So, the social media influencer posted a body positivity message inspiring her followers. 

Despite getting a survival ultimatum of 6 months, Reed never gave up on her fitness journey. She is getting stronger with each passing day and is only grateful for her learnings.

The 33-year-old can be regarded as an elite weight loss warrior, having dropped 270 lbs in eight years of her fitness journey. In between her transformation journey, she was diagnosed with a rare condition called calciphylaxis. The condition causes painful skin wounds that are prone to infections. But she is now on the path of recovery and is grateful for her body fighting the struggles without giving up.

Loose skin, scars, varicose veins, & all. My body tells a story of all the battles that I’ve faced, and I’m so thankful that it’s carried me through each & everyone,” she confessed in her recent post. However, Reed’s journey has been anything but smooth. While she was losing weight, the fatal condition reversed her progress.

Reed revealed the reason why she embraces her body with all the wounds. “This body never gave up on me, and I refuse to hide myself just because my body might not look like everyone else,” she noted in her post. She further requested her followers to be kind to themselves for better healing. But what are Reed’s aims further in her weight loss journey?

The desire to be in the pool

The weight loss warrior once revealed how she ended up crying in her husband’s truck because her 30+ wounds didn’t allow her to go swimming. Reality dawned on her, making her vulnerable to negative thoughts. However, she consoled herself and is now aiming to hit the pool soon.

Unlike many weight loss enthusiasts, Lexi Reed achieved her weight loss goals with her nutrition and workout protocols alone and didn’t depend on a coach. She now tries the healthier version of foods she once junked and is a healthy lifestyle advocate. 

Reed’s survivor story, despite the struggles, is an inspiration to many. She advocates how small steps each day can create big things in life, and her life is testimony to her changed narrative.
