Jackson Schop had a nightmarish experience in 2022 that would test his physical and mental strength to the limit. The 19-year-old bodybuilder decided against amputating his arm. He also made another decision: to be physically in his best shape. Schop is unfettered by the bad hand of cards dealt by fate. He is inspiring millions to work out by owning his physical challenge. He shows his followers how to train with an upper-limb impairment. Recently, another social media channel celebrated the athlete’s resilience and hard work. They reposted Schop’s story for the world to take notice.

Taking to Instagram, risinglifters, a page dedicated to young bodybuilders, posted a carousel of photo and video snippets. The first post is a picture of the young natural bodybuilder, with the caption, “This 19-year-old is in the best shape of his life with a paralyzed arm.” The second and third videos are reposts from Schop’s Instagram page, ‘jacksonthecripple’. In the snippet, Schop is detailing his ordeal. He said, “When I got out of the hospital, and came to the realization my arm isn’t coming back… I felt hopeless. I quickly realized I could either play the victim or go after it. Don’t let obstacles bring you down. Let them bring you up instead. You are capable of more than you know.”

The risinglifters captioned the post, quoting Schop, who said, “Once I got out of the hospital, I gave myself a goal. Get in the best shape of my life, regardless of my paralyzed arm. I can officially say I accomplished my goal.” It took 1.5 years for the influencer to reach his goal. The final snippet shows Schop posing for the camera while flexing muscles. He chimed, “Pros and Cons of paralyzed arm. Pros- looking crazy. Cons- Looking crazy.”

Landi was born with Down Syndrome, a genetic disorder that causes mental and physical challenges during a person’s lifetime. The young bodybuilder took the challenge in his stride and pursued weightlifting, fitness, and martial arts. The fitness influencer has amassed many followers on social media. Recently, the Canadian influencer flexed his muscles in the Arnold Classic 2023 championship to an applauding audience in March.

The star flaunted a chiseled physique and muscular shoulders, with his hard work shining through. Furthermore, the budding icon gave a shout-out in his Instagram post to David Bye from Arnolds Sports for the invitation that catapulted Landi onto the international stage. The 23-year-old further added, “Tomorrow I get to watch @nick_walker39 become the double champ on the same stage.”
