Reigning Classic Physique champion Chris Bumstead is enjoying his latest offseason adventure at the X Games. The five-time Classic Physique Olympia winner is at the X Games Aspen 2024, witnessing some of the best freestyle skiers and snowboarders compete to win X Games medals. Earlier, the bodybuilder gave his fans a thrilling glimpse of the contest.

After showing off his snowboarding skills, the Canadian bodybuilding icon posted another update. While Chris Bumstead is often the man on stage, this time, he found himself in the audience with front-row seats. The soon-to-be father showed his fans how it feels to watch athletes speed past you at the superpipe.

The King of Classic Physique posted a clip of a snowboarder performing a trick right in front of him. Cbum is a fan of the sport and a snowboarder himself, so he is no stranger to watching people perform gravity-defying tricks on the superpipe. However, the bodybuilding champion had no idea what he was missing out on before visiting this year’s Winter X Games.

“This is so much more impressive in person,” Cbum wrote in his Instagram story. Experiencing elite athletes doing their thing right in front of him has been quite the experience for the bodybuilder. The champion bodybuilder also got a chance to strap on the snowboard. Yesterday, Bumstead uploaded exhilarating action camera footage of him gliding down a mountain slope.

It seems Chris Bumsetead is utilizing his extended offseason to its fullest. After winning his fifth Mr Olympia, Cbum is taking things easy. Instead of competing at the Arnold Classic, Bumstead is recovering from his injuries and trying to find long-term solutions to getting injured during prep. However, the competition isn’t taking it easy.

Cbum’s rivals are not taking a break

While Chris Bumstead has the luxury of opting out of the second most prestigious bodybuilding competition, that’s not the case for everyone. Cbum’s biggest rival, Ramon Dino, is preparing to defend his Arnold Classic Physique crown. While the Brazilian hasn’t been able to defeat the Canadian yet, he is hot on his heels.

Other rivals like Urs Kalecinski, Terrance Riffun, and former champion Breon Ansley are also competing at the Arnold this year. However, Cbum’s extended offseason enables him to take care of obligations, recover from injuries, and restart his prep on time. Hence, despite taking time off while others continue to compete, Bumstead has remained the Olympia champion.
