Dexter Jackson is a 54-year-old living bodybuilding icon whose intense training regimen and killer physique has wowed fans for a long time. Jackson is one of the few who defeated legends like four-time Mr. Olympia Jay Cutler and seven-time Mr. Olympia Phil Heath. Jackson won this astonishing victory back in 2008, surprising everyone with his exceptional physique.

To relive that moment, the official page of the Mr. Olympia championship posted a throwback video of Jackson’s stunning on-stage performance on their Instagram account. While the video took bodybuilding fans back in time, which aspects of Jackson’s physique ensured that he triumphed over Heath and Cutler?

In the video one could see The Blade starting the posing regimen of an open-division bodybuilder. He kicked off by doing the front-lat spread. This was one of the most iconic front-lat spreads one could witness. His whole body looked symmetrical, and his lats looked wing-like.

The second pose the bodybuilder did was the rear lat spread and bicep pose. The muscle definition and conditioning of Jackson’s rear lat and back were to the point. The former Mr. Olympia looked like a hand-chiseled stone statue in the three-quarter turn pose, with every minute detail easily visible in his physique.
