“I mean, this guy pours his heart out to get her back … And there are some really truthful, though vulnerable moments that he has with her. And listening to those, it really touch[ed] a chord in my romantic soul”, said Fabiana Udenio to Fox News. Udenio was all praises for the 75-year-old Austrian gentleman who she thinks is a “true leader in every way”.

In the trailer for the show, Schwarzenegger, who plays a CIA operative on the brink of retirement, is seen recounting to his colleagues that he will try to win her ex-wife back and that nothing could stop him from doing it. Creating a hilarious scene, Fortune Feimster responds “15-year-old divorce papers”. This gives an idea as to how long Schwarzenegger and Udenio have been separated in the show, and that makes the connection even stronger.

Schwarzenegger made Udenio feel extremely comfortable on the sets, and according to her, it made her job to show her the softer side during their loved-up scenes even easier. Udenio also felt that such moments came from a deeper place in Schwarzenegger’s life, which made it more real.

Arnold Schwarzenegger has been divorced from his ex-wife Maria Shriver in real life. The pair split up in 2011 after Schwarzenegger admitted to having an affair with his housekeeper Mildred Baena, with whom he fathered his 5th child, Joseph Baena. The divorce was finalized in 2021, 10 years after the two split up. Schwarzenegger is the father of five children, four of whom he fathered with his ex-wife Maria Shriver. The two remain best friends to date and are dedicated to raising their children together.

Whether Schwarzenegger drew inspiration from such personal moments in his life to portray on camera is not something the 75-year-old has discussed. But it definitely created some genuinely heartfelt moments between Udenio and him, also leading to the pair’s on screen kiss.
