Despite Living Away From His Youngest Son Most of His Life, Arnold Schwarzenegger Makes a Heartfelt Confession About Joseph Baena: “Glad That He’s Here Today”

Nearly two months ago, fans of Arnold Schwarzenegger went crazy after they learned of his return onscreen as an action star. That was the first time the bodybuilding legend and Terminator star dropped the first teaser of his Netflix series FUBAR. Now, at the premiere of this show, he was surrounded by his friends, family, and every loved one. Also present was his youngest son Joseph Baena, who also got the chance to explain how lucky he is to have a dad like Arnold Schwarzenegger. When Schwarzenegger was asked about Baena being there, he reciprocated the same feelings and couldn’t be prouder.

Arnold Schwarzenegger is the father of 5 children, the youngest of whom was born out of an affair he once had with Mildred Baena. Due to unavoidable circumstances, Schwarzenegger and Baena didn’t really see each other very often growing up. But today, as Baena is 25 years old and his father a 75-year-old, the father-son duo are always there for each other.

A mutual feeling of love between Arnold Schwarzenegger and Joseph Baena

Arnold Schwarzenegger was asked by a reporter from Entertainment Online how he felt about his son Joseph Baena being there. He said to ET, “Well I’m glad that he is here today, watching FUBAR. And you know, we are supporting each other. That’s the most important thing”, with a smile on his face. Schwarzenegger might not have wanted to speak to ET at length about his son, but his pride for him was visible on his face.

Earlier, in the same premiere, ET asked Baena how he felt about his relationship with his father today. Baena told ET, “I mean, again, it’s amazing having a father like him who is so loving, so supportive, so… I wouldn’t have it any other way”. He was all praises for his father. He may not have spent as much time with his dad growing up as he would’ve liked, but today they are thick as thieves.

Schwarzenegger and Baena have spent a fair amount of time together working out. In fact, the 25-year-old is a bodybuilder and wants to pursue a career like his father.

Schwarzenegger fans will soon get to see him be vulnerable

Joseph Baena made his entry into the entertainment world by participating in the reality show Dancing With the Stars. He has since gone on to appear in a few films and has also expressed his desire to star in the remake of his dad’s blockbuster hit, The Terminator. The context of Baena and Schwarzenneger’s relationship was brought up by the reporter from ET with respect to an upcoming documentary on Schwarzenegger’s life where he opens up about the same.

The documentary titled ‘Arnold’, released its trailer on YouTube on 10th May. It is a 3-part documentary, that explores the 3 lives i.e. careers Schwarzenegger has lived in his life – Bodybuilder, where he won 7 Mr. Olympia titles, a movie star with blockbusters like The Terminator, True Lies, etc, and politics, which saw him become the governor of California for two terms. He also gets vulnerable and opens up about his personal life in the documentary, and all the sacrifices he’s had to make for it. It includes Joseph Baena as well.
