This is something that the World’s Strongest Man winner and Game of Thrones actor, Hafthor Bjornsson, also faced recently. Bjornsson, who regularly does rigorous training for his competitions, became a victim of a mishap that needed immediate medical help.

In a recent Instagram video, he recorded his recovery process for the fans. The Mountain became candid about going back to square one for the benefit of health. What happened to him? Let’s get into the details of it.

Hafthor Bjornsson updates fans about his health

A recent post on Instagram shows Bjornsson working out, and he captioned the post, “Feels good to be back lifting in the gym! I know it’s only 5lbs but we all start somewhere and this is my starting point.” Fans got astonished at the meager amount of weight he was using, but even the strongman needs some time to recuperate to lift heavier things.

Hafthor recently suffered an injury in his chest, while lifting 556 lbs of weight during a bench press to break his record. The tear in his chest led to surgery, and the 34-year-old is recovering as of now. Hafthor regularly updates his fans about his health. He also uploaded pictures about his surgery process along with hospital pictures.

He previously uploaded another video where The Mountain was lifting heavyweights. Bjornsson captioned it saying, “Missed the feeling of moving these weights, but I’m feeling relaxed and happy to take on the challenge ahead.” Fans were very supportive of his honesty and vulnerability, post-surgery. This time too, fans were encouraging in the comments.

One fan eagerly said, “This man is strong af but he knows when he has to leave his ego at the door.”

Another fan also complimented The Mountain on his humbleness, and said, “Good message for his fans to forget ego and just do what is right and best for recovery.. nothing worse than going heavier while healing and re-tearing or dislocating so just take it slowwwww.” One fan tried to be funny and wrote, “5 lb Dumbbells: wtf are we doing here,” to which another person replied, “@hussaine_benseggane he tore his pec, what do you expect him to do.”
