Even in the show business, he found success and played iconic characters like the Terminator and Conan on the Barbarian. However, the most surprising industry that he became a part of was politics.

Arnold Schwarzenegger at one point was the governor of California and recently he revealed how he got into politics. He sat with an interview for ?The Rest is Politics? and delved into his tale of becoming a politician.

The conversations ranged from the Austrian Oak?s decision to choose bodybuilding, learning to become governor and other aspects of his life. While speaking about his career in politics, the duo asked him how he got into politics in the first place.

The Austrian Oak answered, ?What got me really thinking about it was I started dating Maria.? He explained how her family was the biggest political influence in America, and after starting to date the Kennedy princess, he started thinking about politics. He further noted, ?And she was the daughter of Sargent Shriver who started the Peace Corps?and gave legal aids to the poor???

This conversation also went to the extent where they asked him that in spite of being inside a Democrat family how was he still a Republican? Arnold had the perfect answer for this, but he said that his personal choice of being a Republican would not change just because he was getting married into a Democrat family. The champion bodybuilder respected both sides, but he also prioritized his own opinions. Maria Shriver brought a lot of positive changes in Arnie’s life, especially when he became a governor.
