29-year-old Patrick Schwarzenegger is a massive sports fan. While the actor didn’t show much interest in the sport his father excelled in, he is up-to-date on various other sports. From basketball to baseball, the eldest son of Arnold Schwarzenegger often posts his opinions about the sports he follows on social media. Earlier, the 29-year-old actor commented on a post about the LA Dodgers Sunday game with the San Diego Gulls.

Doug McKain, an author at Dodgers Nation, posted a clip from Sunday’s game. In his post, the DNpostgame show host talked about the team’s star player, Freddie Freeman, achieving yet another career high. After seeing the post, Patrick Schwarzenegger gave his verdict on the Dodgers’ veteran slugger.

In his post on X (previously Twitter), McKain wrote about a new milestone for the Dodgers’ superstar, who hit a home run on Sunday. The LA Dodgers’ first baseman had another phenomenal performance against San Diego. The slugger scored a three-run homer in the second inning and also stole a base. While Freeman keeps getting better, his performance against San Diego helped him overtake a former teammate.

Ronald Acuña Jr. is among the front runners for the current season’s MVP race. Freddie Freeman’s former teammate was arguably far ahead of everyone before July. However, the Dodgers’ player showed a surge in his performance in July, and that surge is yet to die down. With his most recent performance, Freeman overtook Braves’ Acuña Jr. in the wRC+ stat.

“Freeman: 172 wRC+, Acuña: 171 wRC+,” wrote McKain. “The Braves never had peak Freddie Freeman for a full season. Freddie has been an absolute superstar with the Dodgers,” the reporter wrote. The eldest son of Arnold Schwarzenegger thought that after the Sunday game, “Freddie needs to be serious MVP candidate.”

However, his verdict on Freeman wasn’t the only sports-related take Schwarzenegger posted.

Nate Diaz vs. Jake Paul confused Patrick Schwarzenegger

On August 6, YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul took on former UFC legend Nate Diaz. While the bout generated a lot of hype, the match was a standard 10-round affair with barely any high-octane moments. Paul had the 38-year-old on the fences from round one. While Nate Diaz showcased his legendary ability to soak up damage, he didn’t dish out as much punishment as he took.

“I’m confused how Nate Diaz can be this bad at boxing. He looks like he’s never boxed in his life,” wrote the Terminal List actor. While Nate Diaz was primarily known for his submission skills in UFC, he was no slouch on the feet. During his prime, Diaz went toe-to-toe with Conor McGregor. In 2022, he almost pulled off an upset TKO victory over current welterweight champ Leon Edwards.
