Getting bigger biceps is not only the dream of almost every bodybuilding enthusiast and fitness freak, but the dream of UFC athletes too. The Brazilian mixed martial artist Paulo Costa is no different from others. He recently met the 55-year-old former powerlifter Mike O’Hearn in the gym in an attempt to chart out the path to achieve this goal.
The Titan shared this moment on his YouTube channel, posting a short video of him and Costa having a rigorous arms-day workout together. The former Mr. California shared his valuable tips with the prominent UFC athlete and made him go through bodybuilding training. While they engaged in the workout, O’Hearn only had good things to say about the Costa.

The video started with the UFC athlete doing arm blaster bicep curls. Seeing Costa doing the exercise, O’Hearn was surprised and said, “I thought you were a UFC fighter. I didn’t know you were a bodybuilder.” As the 32-year-old UFC athlete continued with his exercise, the Titan examined his form thoroughly. Costa did his reps slowly and felt the time under tension properly forcing on his biceps.
Seeing the UFC athlete exercise with the correct form and technique, the former Mr. Universe was impressed and quoted his exercise as “beautiful.” He pushed Costa to his limits and made him do three to four reps extra, making it a proper working set for him. The Titan fixed the 32-year-old athlete’s position by making him back up a little. Even though the former Mr. Universe was not doing any exercise, his biceps looked surreal.
On the other hand. Costa’s veins seemed pumped to the fullest after doing such a gruesome and soul-crushing set of bicep curls. The 32-year-old UFC athlete felt good after completing the exercise and said, “These are very good.“

The duo ended the video by flexing the pump Costa got after completing the exercise. Both of them flexed their enormous biceps and did a front double-bicep pose. This is not the first time the former Mr. California shared a valuable lesson on the secret of arm growth.
A secret tip for arm wrestling folks by O’Hearn
Last year, on his YouTube channel, O’Hearn uploaded a Q&A video sharing his knowledge with arm wrestling enthusiasts. One fan shared his tip and highlighted doing the reverse grip bench, quoting it as “the best movement” for arm wrestling. The Titan didn’t think twice and replied, “Oh yeah, I would 100% agree with that’s gonna make you so so strong, those elbows and stuff, yeah tremendous.”

The fan also wanted a solution for the fact that he was unable to do more than ten reps of the exercise. According to the former Mr. Universe, “It depends on you and what you recover from and what you can train so it doesn’t matter on somebody else’s.” He then shared his arm workout secret, saying, “My best arm growth was often nine sets per week, so that’s what worked for me.“
As shown by such incidents, the four-time Mr. Universe winner never fails to share valuable insights with the bodybuilding and fitness industry. After seeing the UFC athlete and Titan do the arm blaster, will you add this to your workout regime? Let us know in the comments.
