Social media provides a platform for celebrities to interact with their followers, and festivals are a good time to celebrate the extended family online. As the Christmas wishes flooded across multiple social media channels, the Rambo star Sylvester Stallone sent his wishes on Instagram by sharing a nostalgic post. 

Sly rules the hearts of his 16.8 million followers even at 77, and his Christmas post made the fans’ celebrations, even merrier as they were happy to recount the Rocky V times.

The boxing franchise, Rocky, had paved the way for Stallone to become a Hollywood superstar. However, Rocky V is considered to be the worst movie of the series, but Sly still chose a picture from the movie to send his followers Christmas wishes with a subtle message. 

The 77-year-old shared a picture of Rocky and his beloved wife, Adrian in the Christmas sequence from the movie. “Yo, Merry Christmas from Rockyland! May the next year be the best of all!” he said in his post. Despite not being able to excite his on-screen kids for the celebrations in the scene, Stallone ignited the festive spirits of his online followers with the picture as they flooded the comments with Christmas wishes and blessings for the actor’s family.

But those who watched the infamous film would understand the message he wanted to send to his fans. Like in the scene when Rocky says to his son Rocky Jr., “See it’s very important that you spend time with family,” Christmas is all about coming together to celebrate moments with the family. But to become successful it is always a lone fight.

Stallone laid the foundation for the current Hollywood transformation trends for movie roles. For Rocky 2, Sly joined hands with Arnold Schwarzenegger’s bodybuilding buddy Franco Columbu to get himself a shredded body. However, he suffered a major injury during training and had to come up with a unique idea to cover his scars.

Franco Columbu, the 2x Mr. Olympia and Mr. Universe, trained Stallone, and the duo once got into a bench-pressing competition. But Sly tore his entire pec and had to get 60 stitches, but the doctors glitched and sued in a twisted fashion. So, after a decade, vein started appearing on the skin, and the Rambo star had to immerse himself in Tattoos to hide them.

On Christmas Eve, Stallone’s warm wishes filled his fans with enthusiasm. As they wait to witness what was in store for 2024, 2023 will soon join the memories folders.
