On May 22, days before the release of FUBAR, Arnold Schwarzenegger starred in a unique advertisement for the streaming giant. In the ad, the Austrian Oak played Netflix’s Chief Action Officer and drove his Patton tank to the Netflix headquarters. However, since parking spaces are not designed for main battle tanks, Arnie crushes a car and parks the armored vehicle on top of it.

Yesterday the bodybuilding icon uploaded some behind-the-scenes footage of him driving the tank over the parked car. The tank belongs to the seven-time Mr. Olympia and is one he drove while in the Austrian army. However, Schwarzenegger crushing a sedan with his tank left the internet divided.

While the former Mr. Universe drove his tank in uniform back in the day, now he owes no such obligation. Instead, the bodybuilding legend hopped into the tracked military vehicle wearing a tailor-made two-piece suit, a white shirt, and a red tie. The video shows Arnie posing for a photo while leaning on the M47 Patton’s current. He then takes the driver’s seat and puts the mammoth vehicle in drive.

As Netflix’s Chief Action Officer pulled the lever, the massive tank lurched forward, mowing down a parked Mercedes Benz S-Class with its right caterpillar track. A camera inside the S-Class cabin shows the absolute destruction of the car from the inside. The video ends with Arnie standing in front of the destroyed Mercedes. “Now we’re talking,” says the seven-time Mr. Olympia. Fans showed up in droves to comment on Schwarzenegger’s video. While some seemed stoked to see a tank crush a car, others mourned the loss of an S-Class sedan.

People wanted the FUBAR star to crush a different brand’s car

One fan, probably unaware that the tan in the video was the one Arnold drove in the military, left a comment. “Didn’t he drive a tank in the military a long time ago?” asked the user. Others felt sad that the bodybuilding legend destroyed the German sedan instead of a Tesla. “Why this Car?? Why Not Tesla,” wrote a fan. “You would get more clout if you used a Tesla…” commented another.

“Mercedes will sue you,” wrote one user. “I know it was an old Mercedes, but it was still a lovely car. Arnie is in town!” penned a fan, stoked to see Arnie despite being sad about the car. “I would have loved to own that car!” commented one user who thought the Benz looked pristine.

While some fans might have felt sad to see a Mercedes S-Class meet an unceremonious end, one shouldn’t forget that production crews often used faulty vehicles for such shoots. What are your thoughts on Arnold crushing the Merc? Let us know in the comments.
