Seven-time Mr. Olympia winner Phil Heath has immense respect for the veterans who served in the United States Armed Forces. So, on Memorial Day, the bodybuilding icon showcased his pride in being part of an organization that went the extra mile to help veterans. Heath joined Transcend Foundation, a non-profit organization for veterans and first responders, to show his gratitude.

The bodybuilding veteran shared a post by the Transcend Foundation on his Instagram story. The post featured Brian Jacklin, a highly decorated veteran, who spoke about his service to the nation as a Marine. Jacklin explained how he was passionate about serving in the armed forces from a very young age. It seemed like a place where you go and you can find that brotherhood that maybe you’d be missing, said the former Marine.

Heath showed his gratitude to the vets and the organization that’s supporting them. “So proud to be on the board of the @transcend.foundation and so thankful for @ewcolling for creating such an incredible program for our fearless, amazing Veterans and first responders, wrote the former Mr. Olympia in his Instagram story.

“So many Vets choose suicide due to seeing and enduring the absolute worst while others have terrible trauma, pain, autoimmune, gut health issues, and hormone deficiency from the most unimaginable stress, added Phil Heath. The bodybuilding icon finds joy in being a part of the organization and contributing to helping veterans resettle into civilian life.

Phil Heath thanked Ernie Colling, the Founder & Chief Executive Officer of Transcend. Colling founded Transcend to help bodybuilders, athletes, and the average person suffering from home deficiencies. The clinic offers HRT and Peptide therapy. However, Colling also founded the Transcend Foundation, which provides its services to armed forces vets.

As Phil Heath mentioned in his Instagram story, war vets often suffer from life-altering stress and trauma. The things they go through often cause hormonal imbalances, depression, PTSD, and several other issues. Collings explained that when they find somebody in need, the Transcend Foundation allocates resources to help them with treatment.

The organization that Phil Heath is part of tries their best to help improve the quality of life for ex-servicemen through their services. Besides directly helping US Armed Forces veterans, they also spread awareness about the situations vets find themselves in after retirement. About a week ago, Transcend Foundation revealed that 36.2% of Veterans experience substance abuse, 36.2% experience homelessness, and 25.8% live with mental illnesses like PTSD.

So, Phil Heath feels grateful that he is part of an organization that is working to bring change. Besides honoring those who served, the bodybuilding icon is doing his part in helping them.
