A gym is a place for relaxing and lifting weights to put your mind at ease. But going to the gym and thinking of it as a daily task might not be enjoyable, unlike the four-time Mr. Universe, Mike O’Hearn. Even at 55, he doesn’t think of the gym as a chore; he loves lifting weights.
In a recent short video uploaded on his YouTube channel, the former powerlifter emphasized not thinking of working out as a burden and enjoying it to the fullest, just like O’Hearn and his gym partners do. The Titan’s fans agreed and showed their support in the comments.

The Titan explained in the video how he and his gym partner enjoy working out in the gym. He gave an example, saying,” We pick a lot of exercises; as we’re doing the workout, we see somebody else doing like a reverse hack, and I’m like, it’s like leg day; we’re like, Oh, hey, let’s implement that in today; it’s as simple as that sometimes.” O’Hearn continued and explained that this is simple, and that’s how they manage to get enjoyment from their workout together.
The former powerlifter emphasized that gym partners should not be frigid and never stick to the same workout regime. Additionally, he did a mimicry of one frigid partner, remarking, “This is the plan we’re staying with this.” He also highlighted the need for flexibility and the willingness to try out different workouts. While doing different exercises is fine, the lack of knowledge on the right form for them might increase the risk of getting injured.
Notably, the former Mr. California concluded his note with a positive outlook, affirming that it typically doesn’t affect one’s workout regime as long as they’re improving and having fun with this whole thing. In the end, he said,” You’re gonna be okay. You will get home. All right.” His fans were on the same page with this statement, pouring in their support in the comment section.

A fan highlighted that it’s good for you to keep mixing up exercises and said,” Always good to keep mixing up exercises into training. I love energy of Mike. Been doing this for decades and still winning.” Another fan agreed with O’Hearn and commented,” As long as you do the main lifts you can play around with the rest.” One fan commented on the worst gym mindset and said,” Making gym a chore is the worst mindset to be in, if you don’t enjoy exercise then you should do something else.“
A fitness freak shared,” It really is that simple. I added and switched up some today myself. Sometimes you gotta mix it up to shock your body.” A bodybuilding enthusiast commented on the new lifter giving them a piece of advice and wrote,” See it all the time at the gym, people will wait 15 minutes for a bench, instead of doing something different. Mostly newer lifters.“
