Milos Sarcev and Arnold Schwarzenegger are names that are etched into the bodybuilding world permanently. Having won two Mr. Universe titles during his prime, Sarcev went on to become a coach after retiring from the sport. His proportions and aesthetical physique helped him stand out from the other bodybuilding champions, just like another bodybuilding great, Arnold Schwarzenegger.

The 59-year-old knew Schwarzenegger during their time competing on stage and in a recent throwback picture, the audience was shown their friendship and camaraderie.

Milos Sarcev’s oiled up look for the Arnold Classic

The 59-year-old bodybuilding coach uploaded a picture on his Instagram from 1999, his last Arnold Classic appearance on stage. The picture not only consisted of him showing off his shredded muscles and being oiled up for the show but also had Arnold Schwarzenegger standing right behind him, smiling wildly at the camera.

Sarcev captioned the post and revealed the reaction Arnie had while the pair clicked the picture. “My last Arnold Classic – 1999! With @schwarzenegger backstage. 25 YEARS AGO!?!?!?! He told me – just make sure you don’t touch me – you have way too much oil. @alexardenti.”

The reminder of the funny exchange between the Austrian oath and the Soviet bodybuilder was definitely interesting. Even as he had fun behind the scenes, Sarcev went all in at his last Arnold Classic. The bodybuilder came fifth with Nasser El Sonbaty taking the title home. This was not the first time that Sarcev was taking a trip down memory lane. Years after his retirement, he had turned the clock back to the 1999 Mr Olympia.

Last year, the former Mr Universe treated his fans to a throwback picture from the 1999 Super Bowl of bodybuilding. From the picture, one could see that Sarcev was doing opposing routines on stage. He also showcased his defined quads, with his shredded massive chest and well-conditioned physique. Like every update from Sarcev, this also got the attention of his fans.

Most fans commented on the post about his quads, his hard work, and his overall physique. One follower even compared Sarcev to the Roman god, Apollo. “We have the proof that Apollo was on the Earth,” the comment read.
