Arnold Schwarzenegger is the epitome of success but often refuses to take all the credit. The 76-year-old denies that he is a self-made man and acclaims several people in his life who contributed to his growth. The 7x Mr. Olympia champion in his latest self-help book added a Thank You note at the end, paying tribute to all the hands that joined to support the Austrian Oak towards his goal.

The women in his life, Maria Shriver and Heather Milligan, received a special shout-out from the Terminator actor for their roles in his unparalleled life. Arnie is grateful to the women for showering love on him.

Women played a key role in Arnold Schwarzenegger’s life

Schwarzenegger met Kennedy princess Maria Shriver at a charity tennis tournament in 1977, and after several years of dating, they tied the knot in 1986. The couple had four children and separated in 2011 when Arnie’s affair became public. But Schwarzenegger and Shriver still respect and care for each other. The Governator never misses a chance to appreciate Shriver’s role in his life.

In “A FINAL THANK-YOU” note at the end of his self-help book, “Be Useful: Seven Tools for Life,” Schwarzenegger confessed, “I’ve also been lucky to have the love of amazing women in my life.” Explaining Shriver’s part in his life, Arnie wrote, “For decades, Maria stood by my side for every decision and, to this day, is such a fantastic mother to our children.” However, he didn’t miss out on thanking his girlfriend, Heather Milligan.

“For the last ten years, Heather has been my partner and confidante, there with me through ups and downs, adding to our menagerie of animals every year,” he wrote in his book. Despite a major personal crisis in 2011, Schwarzenegger and Shriver rebuilt their lives around children with compassion and respect.

But when his affair with the housekeeper got public, it crumbled his world, as his marriage of 25 years fell apart. The duo recently enjoyed themselves at the Oktoberfest in Munich. Schwarzenegger is spending his late seventies with his pets, Lulu, Whiskey, and Schnelly while spearheading the fitness revolution through his newsletter. Despite feeling dejected for his mistake in 2011, Schwarzenegger gathered himself to come a long way.
