Dorian Yates has left an indelible mark on the history and legacy of bodybuilding. His aesthetic physique and commanding presence on stage continue to astound audiences. Known as ‘The Shadow,’ Yates achieved an impressive feat, winning the prestigious Mr. Olympia title a remarkable six times consecutively from 1992 to 1997.

His prowess is unmatched and even at the age of 61, Yates is still going strong with a jacked physique. He uploaded a throwback picture of him from 1991 on Instagram and fans were overwhelmed by the blast from the past.

Dorian Yates recalls Night of Champions

He uploaded a collage of photos from the 1991 Night of Champions, that happened in New York, where he returned after coming second the previous year. Yates wrote a huge throwback story along with the picture, talking about the whole ordeal of the 1991 competitions. ?This was the show where I?d make a name for myself over in the USA. My full focus here was winning the Night of Champions, it was my sole goal, another target achieved after British champion,” was the caption.

Yates also talked about how the Beacon Theatre in New York, did not let any filming take place, so all he has is the pictures from the show. Since the 1991 competitions, it has only been a steady rise for Yates, and he penned his name in gold, into the bodybuilding industry. ?Yates has given previous throwbacks as well, and in one post he talked about how there was a mixed judgment about his physique in 1990.

But that did not deter him from his goal and Dorian said, ?Some opinions were positive, some not so much but ultimately, none of those matters.? Truly his fans agree with him and praised his physique in the new post.
