The 48-year-old carried immense muscle and had no problem antagonizing people who accused him of using steroids. Kai Muscle vehemently denied allegations for years until he suffered a heart attack in 2021.

Fortunately, the bodybuilding icon survived. After rehab, Chuck ‘Kali Muscle’ Kirkendall returned to social media. The 48-year-old came clean about his steroid usage. He admitted to taking multiple performance-enhancing drugs for years. Besides coming clean, Kirkendall started preaching against steroids and putting on too much muscle mass. Earlier, the 48-year-old gave his opinion on why so many professional bodybuilders have died in recent years.

What Kali Muscle had to say about bodybuilders having cardiac issues

The former enhanced bodybuilder recently vlogged his training session. In the video, the 48-year-old looked like a shadow of his former mass-monster-like physique. However, Muscle said he slimmed down for health reasons. Carrying around so much muscle mass might stress his heart.?“You know what a lot of muscle is? a liability!”?said the bodybuilding icon.

While more muscle mass makes one look bigger and stronger,?”there’s no return.”?However, Kali Muscle believes carrying too much muscle is a death sentence.?”The only return you going to get is a heart attack or stroke, and that’s inevitable,”?said the 48-year-old. He reasoned that pros, including Mr. Olympia, are dying because they carry too much muscle and use too many PEDs.

Shawn Rhoden, Dallas McCarver, Rich Piana?”?Kirkendall said.?“Did you think Kali Muscle thought he was going to have a heart attack? Never,”?said the 48-year-old, referring to his past beliefs. However, the influencer found himself at death’s door two years ago, despite his beliefs. He doesn’t want?others to find themselves in a similar situation.

Muscle advocates for a healthier approach toward bodybuilding

While Kali Muscle learned about ignoring health the hard way, he wants others to learn from him. The fitness influencer has switched his approach to bodybuilding. While he still sports a ripped physique, he no longer advocates putting on muscle at the cost of health. Instead, he tells people to workout to be fit and live a fulfilling life.

Kali Muscle also overhauled his diet and is now promoting clean eating. He even advises people to shun supplements like protein powders. Instead, the bodybuilder tells his followers to get their nutrients from whole foods. However, other influencers?criticized Kali Muscle’s recent watermelon diet challenge.

Muscle’s assessment of muscle mass might be open to debate. However, there is little doubt that people using steroids to turn into mass monsters are harming their health.
