Find push-ups hard? Imagine doing them with just fingers! It may sound impossible, but a young man has surprised the world by balancing his entire body on this thumb. His form was so perfect that even Bruce Lee, master of two-finger push-ups, would be proud. A young gentleman named Lee-Van Rolle is taking the calisthenics world by storm.

He performs various bodyweight exercises, showing off his acrobatic skill. Recently, an Instagram handle posted Lee-Van’s performance to the amazement of bodybuilding followers.

An Instagram handle named freesthenics posted a carousel post of three videos, adding the caption, “Bro took it to another level @leevan_ns. Check @engagecore for calisthenics tutorials.” The first video shows Lee-Van putting pressure on his thumbs as he lifts his body mid-air and hangs in a push-up position for some time. The crowd silently looks at this marvelous feat.

In the second snippet, the athlete performs the same exercise in a gym but with 10kg weights hanging from his waist. The fitness expert does the same feat in the open air in the third video in front of judges, probably in a Calisthenics Battle.

The freesthenics workout is an offshoot of Calisthenics made popular through street-style competitions. The athletes perform various ‘bar flow’ exercises that use body weight as strength and are rhythmic. These exercises incorporate lots of push and pull-up exercises along with gymnastics.

Over the years, free-style Calisthenics has undergone considerable change and metamorphosed into an art form. While performing the exercises, the practitioners often look like they are dancing. They include a lot of dynamic movements and improvisation in their flow, sometimes doing static poses as well. The static exercise performed by Lee-Van impressed and surprised social media fans. There were comments marveling at the strength of thumbs that could hold his body weight in mid-air.

Fans appreciate mid-air street-style Calisthenics

One impressed fan said, He can kill you with one finger,” reflecting on the performer’s strength. Meanwhile, another fan added, “Wow, I love it when I see people do exercise in the natural way body exercise,” appreciating the Calisthenics art form.

Wondering about his technique, one follower said, “I don’t like the technique at all, but still impressive, all the body weight in two fingers.”

Outraged, some also pointed out that the athlete might suffer injury later in life. He added, “That’s just asking for an injury.” Showing similar concern, another follower replied, just looking to break your fingers and possibly your wrist.” The jaw-dropping poses arguably had a lasting effect on the minds of viewers.
