Bodybuilding icon Arnold Schwarzenegger’s physique in his prime was mere perfection. So much so that his body was hailed as the epitome of the human physique, yet it was not something the former athlete was wholeheartedly proud of. Similar to his prior revelation of not being satisfied with his body despite being a champion, Arnie reiterated his feelings in a recent interview with CNN. 

The interview featured CNN host Chris Wallace and the former athlete chatting on multiple topics about the latter’s career and life. A particular question directed at his aging took Arnie back to the confession about his struggle with age and senescence.

As per the interview, the 75-year-old pro shed light on his feelings about the current state of his physique. Wallace promptly asked, “How hard is that for you to grow old?” Arnie took a hint and immediately got to the point claiming that he was not stuck on the matter but confessed to his heartbreaking revelation. 

“I don’t dwell on it. But at the same time, you have to understand that I was the person that even in the day when I was competing and winning my seventh Mr. Olympia competition, I looked in the mirror, and I was not happy with my body,” he insinuated. Therefore, pointing at the amount of resentment he has for his body now.

The Austrian stated, “so imagine how I feel about my body today.” Although ending his answer with a laugh, the star is evidently unhappy with his declining age, more so, because of what it’s doing to his once incredible physique. Similarly, in yet another interview, Arnie made a striking confession about aging.

Arnold Schwarzenegger is heartbroken 

Talking to Men’s Health in an interview, the IFBB legend was described under a poetic connotation, referring to his iconic feature as the Terminator. Marking him as a rusted T-800, the cyborg he played, who still moves around the Gold’s gym slowly, with clumsy steps, he strives to treasure his once greatest physique, forever.  

That was not all. Hinting at his bodybuilding career, he was enquired if he still tried one of those classic poses. This urged Arnie to make a heart-wrenching statement. “Yes, but only in the bathroom because sometimes it makes me cry,” the former athlete shared.
