IFBB champion Chris Bumstead has maintained an image that is peculiar to most bodybuilders. Not going by the hardcore way of life, the athlete is very mindful of his personal well-being, be it by opening up about his mental health struggles, or his battle with self-esteem. Moreover, he never even got into fights earlier in his life given his calm and composed demeanor. However, in a recent podcast on his supplement brand Raw Nutrition’s YouTube, he talked about the one fight he ever got into.
Talking to his guest stars Calvin and Vaughn, the star athlete was asked if he got into fights much as a youngster. While Cbum admitted to not being involved in many fights, he took the opportunity to explain how he got into the only one ever.

While it might not be difficult to accept the popular bodybuilder never got into fights, owing to his composed attitude, he managed to get involved in one. “I got in one my whole life,” the 28-year-old pro revealed. However, it was not one of those mindless, random disputes. Bumstead claimed that he was there to protect someone’s honor.
“I was defending someone’s honor, someone came up to me and said their girlfriend got like shoved downstairs it was like a two-level club and they came up like freaking out,” Cbum recalled. He added that the guy was a shorter kid and while the star athlete was “mouthing off” at him, the guy swung at him and missed.
This pushed the button for Cbum as he clocked the guy out, and pinned him to the ground. “he literally just crumbled to the ground,” the Mr. Olympia champion disclosed. The crowd had gathered around him with the bouncers only watching, not feeling the need to intervene. Moments later, Bumstead walked out of the club on his own and later on got a burger treat from his friends. While these interesting memories from his early life amuse him to date, the athlete is also concerned about his future.
Chris has big future plans
The athlete has dedicated his whole life to the sport of bodybuilding till now. After having earned enough fame and winning titles, the Canadian pro feels he has done enough and now looks forward to the next phase of his life. Although he is grateful for all the success and recognition he received from the sphere, the athlete does not want to compromise on the other phases of his life, like making his own family.
