Arnold Schwarzenegger helped bring the sport of bodybuilding from the shadows to the limelight in the 1970s. The Austrian Oak, along with a few other bodybuilders, helped clear misconceptions about bodybuilding and bodybuilders. Similarly, Ronnie Coleman was responsible for another revolution as he became what many regard as the greatest mass monster in bodybuilding. Earlier, the two legends from two different eras came together at the Mecca of bodybuilding.

In his most recent video, the Austrian Oak had a surprise for fans. While he regularly workouts at California’s Gold’s Gym, eight-time Mr. Olympia Ronnie Coleman appeared in the video alongside the 76-year-old. The two legends worked out together, and their conversation during the workout sent the bodybuilding community into a frenzy.

In the video, Arnold Schwarzenegger sat on the shoulder press machine while ‘The King’ stood beside him and seemed excited to motivate his fellow Olympia winner. However, before starting the set, Arnie told Coleman that his late best friend would be proud to see them working out together.

“Franco is smiling down from heaven, and he is saying, ‘Finally! Arnold found a good replacement for me,'” the 76-year-old bodybuilding icon told Coleman before starting the set. The former Texas cop chuckled before saying, “Let’s show Franco how it’s done… Lightweight.” The short video made the fans emotional and nostalgic.

The bodybuilding community was full of emotions

Fans of the two legends flooded the comments section. The most popular comments received thousands of reactions in a matter of hours. “Two of the biggest legends ever,” wrote one inspired fan. Many fans were overwhelmed by the unexpected collaboration. “Ronnie saying ‘lightweight’ to Arnold is one of the greatest things we will ever witness in our lives,” commented one fan.

One fan compared the significance of the crossover to basketball legends coming together. “This like (Michael) Jordan & Kobe (Bryant),” wrote the fan. Another said they couldn’t spot playing the video on repeat. “My internet was all consumed to play this video of these 2 legends – best-spent money today,” the fan wrote. One fan noticed that while the legends seemed to be having fun, they were also focused on the workout. “Playful but you can tell they are in the zone! The motivation comes out in every word they say. ‘Let’s show Franco how it’s supposed to be done,'” the fan wrote.
