The Governator’s passion for bodybuilding started in his teens when he came across Reg Park’s shredded physique in a bodybuilding magazine. Ever since he never compromised on his gym routine to be among the best bodybuilders in the world. Arnie inspired many youngsters to hit the gym with his ripped physique. However, the Terminator actor had to face the reality of aging when he realized that he couldn’t pursue weight training as intensely as in his thirties.

Does it ever freak you out that your body turned on you in the sense that you talk about in your book, your heart situation where you had this operation, and they messed it up, but whatever, your body was trying to kill you?” Howard Stern asked Schwarzenegger, who agreed and said, “Absolutely.” Narrating the tale, when he first learned about his limitations, Arnie said, “Just before I turned 50, I had the heart surgery. That’s when, I kind of afterwards, kind of came out of it, and I said, you’re now damaged goods. This is the first time where I felt kind of like vulnerable.”

Doctors advised the bodybuilding champion against heavy training to avoid stress on the heart. “And all of a sudden there was dialogue like that life is not anymore the same as when it was, like 30 years old or 40 years old, where you could do anything and you never had to think about anything,” explains the action superstar who defied limitations of strength in his early years. The 7x Mr. Olympia champion concluded that he is as enthusiastic as he was in his thirties, even in his late seventies. Earlier, the Austrian Oak narrated how he continues his bodybuilding posing routine, but in seclusion.
