A very close Hollywood friend of the legendary bodybuilder Arnold Schwarzenegger too fell prey to it. Given his star status, it shook the entire internet community.

Time and again, Arnie has sympathized with Bruce Willis and his family, understandably shattered by the news. However, it is not just sorrow that he is going through. Schwarzenegger has been doing thorough research on the disease and keeps posting hacks in his daily newsletter to prevent its onset.

In the latest version of his daily newsletter, Arnold’s Pump Club, Arnold Schwarzenegger shared a simple but miraculous way that may help people stay away from the deadly disease. He emphasizes the importance of keeping one’s brain healthy at all costs because the mind is gold. Schwarzenegger also stated that it is the willingness to learn that helps in fighting off dementia to a great extent.

Adding a critical piece of research, he wrote, “Research suggests that your mind isn’t much different than your muscles; if you want to keep getting better — or protect what you have — you must keep training and stimulating.” The bodybuilding legend even stated that after an experiment, around 40% of the continuous learners had a low risk of cognitive decline compared to people with lower mental involvement.

Highlighting the importance of a mental workout, Arnie concluded, “Without the mental gymnastics of continuous learning, your brain could undergo structural and functional changes, which leaves you vulnerable to disease.” Additionally, he once even stated that coffee reduces the risk of acquiring dementia.

Arnold Schwarzenegger once took up another research study that demonstrated that the antioxidants and anti-inflammatory elements that are found in coffee or tea are one of the primary sources of keeping your mental health and engagement balanced. They also have added compounds that help in escalating blood flow and brain function, reducing the risk of strokes.

Arnie wrote, “Research suggests that people who drink coffee and tea have a 32 percent lower risk of stroke, a 26 percent lower risk of dementia, and a 27 percent lower risk of post stroke dementia.”
