Lee Haney, a.k.a. ‘TotaLee Awesome,’ has scribbled his name as ineffaceable in the history of bodybuilding. Haney’s name is cemented in the very foundation of bodybuilding for hammering the record of Arnold Schwarzenegger and thus starting off the chain of Mr. Olympia titles. The 8x Mr. Olympia was the youngest (24-year-old) to clinch the surreal feat, earning a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records. Recently, Lee Haney’s old video of a guide to muscle building has been posted on the Instagram channel @musclemind.media. Moreover, the post has a clip from a YouTube video wherein Lee talks about mass and how building mass density is the ultimate goal of any bodybuilder.

Lee Haney talks about mass fuel

In the video posted on Instagram, Haney talks about a combination of building muscle density wherein everything is linked to each other, just as in ‘The Law of Physics.’ The GOAT of the 80s utters three primary words: a combination of these three things can forge strong muscle density. As he quotes, “When building mass, it takes a combination of things; number one is, of course, you’re talking nutrition, then you’re talking training, and then you talk about the psyche.”

A video posted on the YouTube page named ‘SoulSergeant,’ talks about Lee Haney’s Twinlab Mass Fuel in detail. It is the process of building muscle density for fitness enthusiasts and aspiring bodybuilders. The foremost part is “Pulldowns.” He says, “I prefer doing pulldowns to the front.” He then added, “We’re looking for at least four sets and repetitions anywhere between 10 to 12.” Haney explains why he chose the pulldown as the first exercise to increase the length and build a defined back.

Furthermore, in the YouTube video, the 8x Mr. Olympia moves to the barbell rolls, which are of utmost significance to developing the width and thickness of the bodybuilders. Lee quotes, “As far as reps are concerned, we are looking at six to eight sets, we’re looking at four to five maximum.” While performing the exercises he asked to wear a belt that would protect your lower back. Haney retired at the young age of 31 years old, and even years after his departure from the sport the bodybuilding fraternity listens to what he shares with sincerity. The legend has a unique vision of bodybuilding and the methods used today to train athletes.

Lee Haney makes staggering confessions

The 63-year-old bodybuilding legend once sat down for a candid conversation with Lee Labrada. Moreover, Haney professed a lot of things about himself about which the bodybuilding fraternity and his fans were heedless. The GOAT says something staggering, quoting, “I never worshipped bodybuilding, I never worshipped the sport. So I was going to shake hands with you or Rick or whoever, Mike Christian, whoever won!” Hence, for Lee Haney, bodybuilding is not the end of the world.

Additionally, Lee mentions the fact that to become a master of skill, you need time, and it does not happen overnight. For him, bodybuilding as a sport has transformed a lot since the time he used to compete. New machines have overpowered the old-school techniques of training.
