Powerlifting elite, competitive bodybuilder, and arm-wrestling enthusiast Larry Wheels shocked the internet, at least for a moment. Larry Wheels got into the most shredded shape of his life when he competed in the classic physique division last year. However, the offseason is well underway, and the 29-year-old used it as the ideal cover for his latest stunt.
Larry Wheels regularly posts updates on social media so his fans don’t miss a beat. Wheels posts almost everything from physique updates to new collaborations and PRs. However, this time, the powerlifting icon deliberately posted a selfie hiding his physique. He also used an AI filter to change his appearance drastically.
Artificial Intelligence is everywhere

The Classic Physique competitor used an artificial intelligence-powered filter to make himself look far bulkier than he is. It looked even more convincing because he only showed his face in the selfie. While the bodybuilder is gradually gaining weight and muscle during this offseason, the filter made the powerlifting icon nearly obese.

The filter accurately reproduced how Wheels would look if he gained massive amounts of weight. However, one shouldn’t be surprised as the filter is AI-powered. It seems Artificial Intelligence is making its way into everything. Yet, the filter wasn’t perfect, and eagle-eyed fans found flaws. The filter distorted the edges of the powerlifting veteran’s face, especially his ears.
Despite figuring out that the 29-year-old bodybuilder used AI to make himself look overweight, fans played along. Instead of pointing out that he had used AI, the bodybuilder’s followers left hilarious comments. In fact, they coined a name for Wheels’ new AI-powered avatar.

If the powerlifting icon never stopped bulking
Since the filter made it look like the arm-wrestler never stopped bulking, fans named him “Larry Meals.” The wordplay with his name continued in the comments section. “Larry (Needs) Wheels,” commented another fan. Since lifters are the strongest during the bulking phase, one fan commented, “Strong Larry is back!” However, some found the filter to be atrocious.
“These edits should be illegal,” wrote one Instagram follower because the image seems quite convincing at a glance. If fact, it looked so convincing that some fans fell for it. “Is this real?” asked one fan. “I know you’ll be back in no time. But how?” questioned the follower.
