The world of social media can arguably be termed wild, as one can find both positive and negative content on the internet today. But the online fitness community has someone like Joey Swoll, who believes and works towards a positive gym culture and also, at times, slams bullies openly. His videos calling out disrespectful gym-goers are often well-received by fans.

In his latest video, the self-acclaimed CEO of Gym Positivity lashed out at a mischievous gym-goer who didn’t give a second thought about making fun of a differently abled woman at the gym. The video angered the 40-year-old bodybuilding champion, who asked the associated gym to cancel the rude gym-goer’s membership.

A gym-goer shared a video on his social media making fun of a differently abled woman working out at his gym. He captured her video without consent while she was walking on a treadmill and taunted her short stature by posting the video online. Swoll came across the video and shared his views on the same.

I can’t believe that in 2023, people actually have to be told, you don’t do this to other people,” cried the fitness influencer in his post on Twitter. The YouTuber also noticed that the gym-goer commented that he is “not afraid of Joey Swoll.” Responding to the same, Swoll clarified, “I don’t want you to be afraid of me,” but to be a more well-behaved human. “It’s sad people will abandon common decency in favor of clout on social media,” he captioned the post.

The 40-year-old influencer asked the concerned gym to cancel the mocking gym-goer’s membership. “So, Just Move Athletic Club in Winter Haven, Florida. I hope you see how this man treats other members at your gym and you kick his a** out,” he demanded in his video. However, Swoll also focuses on the other side of the coin and appreciates positivity at the gym.

A gym-goer fascinated the fitness influencer with his kind act

Earlier a kind gesture of a gym-goer helping a woman ace her exercise left Swoll with pride. The woman in the video was seen to be struggling to reach the pull-up bars. “Jumping up to the pull-up bar is genuinely one of my irrational fears,” she revealed in her post. However, noticing her difficulty, a man taught her an easy method to ace the workout.

He just made her jump to hit his palm for a high-five. He eventually raised the position of his hand, making her jump to the height of the bar. Witnessing this, Swoll opined, “Most people in the gym are just like this man, and this is what the gym community is truly about.”
