Joey Swoll is the CEO of Gym Positivity and an Internet sensation who stood against the gym bullies, who were bashing the regular gym-goers by making videos and posting them on social media. The proponent of righteous gym activities is prominent among the bodybuilding and fitness fraternity, wherein he puts constant finesse on transforming and maintaining a proper gym decorum. Nevertheless, shabby incidents make the fitness freaks uncomfortable and vile at times. Swoll is always against filming in the gym, so fitness enthusiasts were advised to stop using tripods in the gym if they cannot bestow respect. 

In a string of events that happened, shaming and bashing innocent gym-goers, there is one more incident that prevailed recently. In a recent video posted on TikTok, a person standing in the gym shoots a video of the person doing boxing.

Swoll watches a video, wherein the man specifically points out the boxer in the gym and posts the video on his Instagram account which goes by the name @matthewstephensmith captioning the story, Since when did it become socially acceptable to practice ‘hand work’ for ‘boxers’ in an iron weight lifting gym.” The person then added another caption quoting, Would boxers like cyclists, showing up to boxing gyms to get their sweat on? Lol.” 

After catching sight of the video, the Messiah got annoyed by watching bullies not letting the people at the gym practice peacefully, and thus, he gets wired and quotes, “So you’re saying in the video when does it become socially acceptable to do boxing in the gym.” After saying this, Swoll asks the gym bullies and fitness content creators, “When does it become socially acceptable to film strangers at the gym to post that on social media just to make fun of and criticize them?”

Moreover, Joey Swoll mentions that it was always acceptable by the gym trainers, fitness freaks, and fitness fraternity. Most people, the gym bullies, lack awareness of the same. Swoll says, “I always see trainers doing this with their clients and I am happy that they do.Furthermore, he adds how it benefits fitness enthusiasts, “It’s a good shoulder workout, awesome core workout and it’s good cardio.”

After elaborating on the whole incident, the Messiah talks about gyms across the globe and especially Gold Gym, which has trained Arnold Schwarzenegger, Frank Zane, Tom Platz, and scores of veteran bodybuilders, you name it. Swoll mentions that it’s normal and even it’s a good form of exercise. Moreover, he talks about the stereotypes that have been followed by the fitness fraternity for a while now.

Swoll stands up for the boxer in the video

Joey Swoll carries on the monologue representing the views of thousands of fans, and victims who have ever been bullied. He says, “I have been in some of the most hardcore bodybuilding gyms all over the world, the most notorious one, the Gold Gym, the mecca of bodybuilding. And guess what, they have heavy bags there, they have fighters, they have people doing glove work and boxing.” 

Swoll candidly overpowers the stereotypes and old-school methodologies, encircling fitness freaks, trainers, and probably the entire fraternity of fitness. He brings out another one of the staggering facts for the gym-goers, quoting, “And then you talk about cyclists in a boxing gym? I am sorry but don’t boxing gyms have bikes and cycles? It’s one of the best ways of cardio.”

As a person who was bullied in college himself, Joey understands bullying and wants to completely rule out the toxic gym culture. Undoubtedly, he is a positive-gym-culture crusader who is vocal about any bullying wherever he witnesses it.
