In a recent Instagram post, Gallagher uploaded a video expressing his idea of testing how much strength and power shoulders may have depending on the person. He wrote a caption, “How much are you hitting on shoulder presses!! Half your bodyweight for 8 is a solid goal to aim for.”

To check shoulder strength, he mentioned and performed the seated dumbbell press exercise, a strength-testing exercise often practiced by many bodybuilders. According to him, one should be able to lift half their body weight on the shoulder press for six repetitions. And if someone does it efficiently, they can be said to have stronger shoulders. Giving an instance, he said, So if you weigh 180 pounds, that’s 90 pounds per dumbbell for six reps. If you can hit that, you have strong shoulders. To some extent, his advice can be accepted, especially by one who is an amateur in fitness; however, it is not something many fitness enthusiasts are looking for.

Giving a straightforward opinion, one Instagram user said, “Not true at all.” Asking him where he learned this technique, one user asked him, “May I know the source of that test? Where is it coming from?” Showing amazement and doing calculations, one of the followers said, “This makes no sense.
