HRTs have arguably become a necessary appendage in a bodybuilder’s physique-building journey. Although highly controversial if used for enhancing size, HRTs also contribute to optimum levels of hormones that decline due to aging. Moreover, it is also used as post-cycle therapy. Earlier, coach Greg Doucette, who is on a quest to bring the latest and correct information to bodybuilding enthusiasts, discussed an important topic related to testosterone.
The Canadian pro believes in bringing honest and clutter-free information on the web. The M.S. in kinesiology is a big proponent of the natural path to building muscles, even in professional circuits. Although the world record-holder powerlifter had his brush with PEDS at age 41, he left the use once his body started reeling under the effects. Learning from his experience, the published author calls out other bodybuilders for going overboard with steroids. Recently, Doucette discussed an interview between Jay Cutler and Milos Sarcev regarding Mr. Olympia’s experience with drugs and HRTs.

Greg Doucette uses the conversation between Quad Stomper and Milos Sarcev as a perfect opportunity to educate people on this issue. In the video, the coach shows a snippet of a conversation where Cutler is quizzing Sarcev about the possibility of coming from HRT. Furthermore, the Comeback Kid wanted to know the optimum levels of dosage required. Sarcev says that a minimum of 1000 is essential. This statement shocks Doucette to the core. Who wonders why Sarcev would give such a generic answer, keeping in mind that Cutler does not feel much difference when he is not on the cycle?
Calling Jay an “anomaly,” Doucette said, “To me, this is just living proof that not everyone needs HRT. Some people with lower levels of tests they feel great; other people have moderate or even high levels of testosterone, and it’ll feel right..” Continuing the thought, the IFBB pro added,”… and so when deciding if you need HRT, you’ve got to talk it over with your doctor, and it’s not just about a number.”
Then, the discussion between Sarcev and Cutler meanders to the correct dosage levels. Doucette busts some important myths, stating, “Don’t just assume that because you’re a certain age that you automatically need tests, and if you’ve abused steroids, it doesn’t necessarily mean you need HRT for the rest of your life.” Jay Cutler recently celebrated his 50th birthday and underwent a Fit for 50 challenge to sport the best physique into his fabulous fifties. Additionally, he often speaks openly about his TRT regime.

Cutler advises medical supervision to reap the benefits of HRT
Earlier this year, the Quad Stomper revealed his current TRT pattern. Furthermore, he warned netizens against self-medication. Cutler opined that hormones can be “life-changing” if needed. However, medical supervision is of utmost importance. “With something as serious as your testosterone health, lots of people self-medicate and call it TRT, but this is just guesswork. You need to have blood work and the advice of an expert to tell you how much you really need and when,” said Cutler in his newsletter.
The IFBB pro, Doucette, is providing a great service to the fitness community by giving a 360-degree view of his approach. Furthermore, he is showing how role models ought to behave by reiterating the need to seek a doctor’s advice. Have you heard Doucette’s words of advice? Let us know in the comments.
