Priest urges fans and followers not to obsess over their strict routines during Xmas treats. He advocates, “If you have a plan, take your food with you.” However, he also said it’s okay to make minor adjustments and enjoy a festive meal without feeling guilty. After years of remorseful experiences, Priest pointed out that the regret of missing out on special occasions can linger more than the impact of a single delightful meal. “One little day or meal isn’t going to destroy your contest prep at all. Mentally, it could. If you’re not strong-minded, you might think, oh, God, I cheated on my diet. Physically, it’s more of a mental thing,” said Priest.
He candidly suggested that don’t be too strict with your diet during the festive season. Make slight changes to enjoy Christmas. He recommends doing extra cardio the next day to balance it out. Well, it’s not only Priest who has regrets; a newly retired bodybuilder shares the same experience.
