The Governator’s exemplary life was narrated by him in his recent docuseries, ‘Arnold’, on Netflix. Now, the action hero had his two-volume book titled the same as his documentary, released. The Pumping Iron actor called the book extraordinary work because of decade-long efforts. “I’ve never ever done a project that has taken 10 years, I mean even I won’t miss the universe after five years of training, but this took 10 years,” he revealed.
Further elaborating on what consumed the time, Arnie stated “Diane and her whole team worked on getting the rights to all of those photographs.” However, Schwarzenegger knew very well that it is a strenuous task. “You try to get the rights to those photographs but that’s easier when they’re alive,” he pointed out.
Most of the famous photographers who clicked Arnie’s pictures in his early bodybuilding days are now dead including George Hurrell. So, it is evident why the book took so long to be published. It was these photographs and interviews of Arnold Schwarzenegger that catapulted the sport of bodybuilding to fame. Further, his Pumping Iron documentary turned out to be a sensation in 1977.
