With 4 Olympia titles to his name, Jeremy Buendia is not a stranger to the bodybuilding world. The Olympia champ has one of the most illustrious bodies in the bodybuilding realm. Besides this, he maintains his online presence among his fans with day-to-day exciting updates about his life. 

Recently, he underscored the significance of having an off-season and emphasized how it can be helpful in healing mental stress. He seemed delighted to get some time with family and to be without food restrictions. 

Buendia enjoys his off-season

In a recent Instagram post, he posted a video of himself doing a chest workout. Along with this, he wrote a caption that reflected his thoughts on the off-season, “I been on a 2 day on 1 day off training split. Cardio 30 mins fasted 4-5x week.” Explaining how his off-season life has been, he said he could eat whatever he wanted. Talking about the effects the body has during off-season, he said, “it’s all part of the process, and it’s important to have some balance.” He stressed about having a balance in life to boost good mental and physical health.

Even though Buendia is habitual to a disciplined training schedule to keep his body toned, he sure does love to enjoy time with his family as well.  

Moreover, he also talked about the year ahead, which would include events like the Mr. Olympia. “It’s going to be another full year So taking this time before I hit it hard again is something that I need to do for my own mental.  Beundia is, in fact, the epitome of commitment, which was witnessed when he made a comeback to show his strength in Olympia 2023.

Buendia made a comeback in bodybuilding after 5 years

The four-time Men’s physique winner with a well-defined physique consistently dedicated himself to bodybuilding. But in 2018, he had announce a hiatus from the sport. However, in September 2022, by posting a video on his official YouTube channel, he announced his comeback to competitive bodybuilding.

In the video, he said, “I took a lot of time off. I am ready mentally and physically I’m ready to get after it.” During his comeback at the Mr. Olympia 2023, Jeremy Buendia placed 8th out of 46 competitors, showcasing the fact that he still has the old fire left in him.
