While the process of aging can surely be taxing for an individual, it is surely not something that can be avoided. However, there are ways that can help you age better and make the process much easier and pain-free. Talking about the same, seven-time Mr. Olympia Arnold Schwarzenegger recently shed light on a very important aspect that can help an individual as they grow old. 

However, he also admitted how the process of aging has been tough for him. Being a legendary bodybuilder at one point and then not being able to do even the most basic things in life can be a bit challenging to process for an athlete. Let’s take a look at what exactly Schwarzenegger had to say.

Arnold Schwarzenegger gives his take on aging

Schwarzenegger is all set to release his new book on October 24th. He is currently promoting his new work by attending various interviews, podcasts, and talk shows. ‘The Austrian Oak’ also recently sat with Howard Stern for the ‘Howard Stern Show.’ Amidst many other things that the duo discussed, Schwarzenegger gave his honest take on how the process of aging has been for him.

As part of an honest confession, Schwarzenegger stated, “I never ever thought about that when I was like 30 years old, or 40 years old, that this is going to happen. That at one point, we are going to look at this body…it still looks better than the majority of bodies, but I mean…It just sucks.”

Adding to this, Schwarzenegger gave very good advice, which can make the process of aging much easier for an individual. Providing a reasonable explanation for it, he appreciated the host, Howard Stern, for following it too.

Schwarzenegger’s golden advice to age better

While it is understandable that not everyone in the world is into fitness and bodybuilding, as we age, it is essential to maintain good health and a healthy fat percentage in order to achieve longevity. Suggesting the same, Schwarzenegger admitted that maintaining a low body fat percentage helps a lot. He also revealed that, due to this, he only eats twice a day and skips lunch.

Complimenting Stern, Arnold pointed out, “But you stay always lean. I’m always amazed about how lean you stay.” Adding to this, he disclosed, “You can only live longer and healthier if you’re lean. Like I eat only two meals a day, I have breakfast and I have dinner. I don’t have lunch.”
