During their conversation, the hosts asked his opinion on this matter with the question, “If somebody wants to learn more about steroids to go and educate themselves, how should they start?” In response to this, the 28-year-old humbly replied, “It’s definitely challenging and I think the world of TRT is different than stero*ds.”
He continued and explained why he thinks so, saying, “The way I look at it, steroids are a little more underground. They’re higher doses, more compounds, more things going on. I think if you’re over the age of 35 and you have low [testosterone], I think TRT is a great thing for you. I think being able to have that energy and be healthy and burn body fat to have those capabilities is healthier than taking a little bit of TRT,” said the reigning champ.
He concluded, “So learning it, it’s hard. You know there’s a bunch of people on the internet now who talk a lot and a lot of good people so it’s hard to differentiate.” He stressed that before delving into these supplements, one should research properly. In addition, he highlighted the importance of seeking guidance. It’s crucial to ask experts like doctors and professionals for advice on bodybuilding supplements.

In his previous video, Bumstead disclosed an incident that changed his perspective. During the 2017 competition, he was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease. Afterward, he lacked the confidence to compete again. However, he soon realized that he needs to make his health a priority. Eventually, he found the health issue was not related to bodybuilding but a condition from birth.
Afterward, CBum started doing more check-ups and reduced the amount of supplements he took. he said, “I could push my work harder rather than just drugs.” Despite not knowing how long he will compete, he is thankful for better health. He now prioritizes self-checks and well-being in his Mr. Olympia journey, valuing quality and longevity.
