In today’s age where people blindly trust information provided by advanced technology, it sometimes can lead to unexpected and unusual incidents blurring the line between reality and rumor. This is what is happening at the moment as Wikipedia mistakenly declared 49-year-old bodybuilding legend, Jay Cutler, dead. However, to everyone’s knowledge, Cutler is very much alive and continues to amaze fans with his remarkable physique, despite two decades after his first Mr. Olympia victory.

While Wikipedia has an incredible database, it is not immune to errors or glitches. On May 19, 2023, a Google search for Jay Cutler’s name displayed the unfortunate statement: “Died: 16 May 2023, Tampa, Florida, United States” This shocking news sent shockwaves across the internet and left fans and admirers of Cutler in disbelief.

However, contrary to Wikipedia’s unfortunate announcement, the former Mr. Olympia champion is alive and thriving. In fact, Cutler has been active on his social media and is continuously posting content related to fitness. While the erroneous information states that it has been three days since he passed away, Cutler, on the other hand, posted a throwback video on his Instagram account just a few hours back.

The 49-year-old posted a two-decade-old video of his posing visuals from the 2002 Mr. Olympia Classic finals. “#throwbackthursday to 2002 and @jaycutler winning his first of 3 consecutive Arnold Classic titles!”, the caption said. The incident surrounding Jay Cutler’s false death announcement serves as a stark reminder of the limitations of technology and the need for caution when relying solely on digital information.

The fan community confirms this through Jay Cutler’s comment box

While the news about his death was trending on Google searches, Jay Cutler’s post in collaboration with Arnoldsports‘ official Instagram handle left the bodybuilding world drooling over his vintage physique. The post was flooded with fan comments showcasing a mixture of support, confusion, and disbelief. Amidst the unexpected confusion, a few were seeking confirmation and reassurance regarding his well-being as well. A fan wrote, “Dude…. However, the majority of fans had their jaw-dropped after witnessing their favorite bodybuilder’s vintage physique. One fan wrote, “Cutler was a class act,” while another said he was “The greatest of all time.”

An awestruck fan commented, “The best, ripped to shreds.” Furthermore, someone commented, “Can you imagine how much Mr.O Jay could win if he was not in Coleman Era.” Well, this comment might sound a bit far-fetched given that his rivalry with GOAT Ronnie Coleman is one of the factors that defines Jay Cutler’s legacy.
