Arnold Schwarzenegger‘s last big screen outing was in 2019. He appeared in Terminator: Dark Fate and in a Russian-Chinese fantasy adventure film Viy 2: Journey to China. Since then the Hollywood legend has been doing some small screen series. However recently, the bodybuilding legend shared a glimpse of his collaboration with an unlikely partner, State Farm. Is Schwarzenegger set to smash his way back into cinemas – or is he?

The 1980s action icon released a mysterious trailer for this upcoming project on ‘X’. The 76-year-old bodybuilding legend shared the trailer with the caption, “When the world needed a good neighbor, I was there. Coming soon. #AgentStateFarm #StateFarm #LikeAGoodNeighbor @statefarm #ad.” The fleeting glimpse of Schwarzenegger in the trailer shows him wearing a t-shirt with a State Farm logo.

State Farm is a group of mutual insurance companies in the US.  This groundbreaking commercial has taken the advertising world by storm. In a bold and innovative move, Schwarzenegger took on the role of the campaign’s central figure, portraying an elite State Farm agent who embodies the values of good neighborliness and heroism.

However, neither the trailer nor the Hollywood action icon revealed a release date for the project, but we know for sure that Agent State Farm isn’t a real movie – it’s a commercial. So technically, the trailer is a commercial for a commercial!

Earlier, the author of ‘Be Useful’ has teamed up with a few other brands, such as BMW to promote their electric cars and with power tool manufacturer Parkside and also starred in their promo. However, this dramatic trailer with State Farm has amused fans and they can’t wait to see the final product born out of the collaboration.

Fans can’t wait for the ‘good neighbor’ 

One fan expressed how he didn’t expect Arnie to star in an ad for an insurance company, he wrote, “Is there anything you can’t do well? This cracks me up! But it’s great!!!” Another fan said, “Already, this looks so great. Can’t wait to see it.” 

“This is so Arnold. Even his ads have ads,” commented one fan. Another fan found the trailer so impressive he thought Arnie might have shared a teaser for FUBAR season 2. “I was hoping for Fubar 2,” wrote the fan. 

“The neighbor-nator. ‘I’ll be back…right after I mow the lawn.’,” wrote a fan, adding a Terminator reference to the trailer. However, the mysterious trailer barely gives a clue as to what Arnold’s newest avatar might be capable of. We’ll have to wait for the full commercial to find out.
